We say official because the NCAA vacated five wins by Alabama during the 2007 season.Saban is now the 17th coach in FBS history and the only active coach with 200 wins. Saban needed only 21 seasons as a college coach to get to 200 wins, the third fastest in history.When the No. 1 Crimson Tide (9-0, 6-0 SEC) hosts Mississippi State (4-5, 2-3) on Saturday Saban will be going for another piece of history. It will be Sabans 45th game as the coach of the nations No. 1 team, which ties him with Woody Hayes (Ohio State) and Bobby Bowden (Florida State). A win would make Saban 40-5 in those games, which ties the victory mark also held by Hayes and Bowden.Not surprisingly, Saban hasnt talked about the milestone.
